Guide to Ocean City, NJ Boardwalk Playground and Beach
Greetings from Ocean City, NJ!
Ocean City's playground pier and boardwalk compete with the beach for a child's thrilling vacation at the Jersey shore. The centerpiece of the Jersey shore vacation town could be Gillians or Playland pier, climbing aboard the Castaway Cove pirate ship or maybe driving bumper cars, going up on a Ferris wheel ride, or riding the waves all day. For kids ages 3 to 5, the most memorable moment of an Ocean City vacation this August might be the Weird Contest Week for children - who can make the most sound with the noisemakers provided - pots, pans, etc. But then again, building a sand castle is also in the top ten for this age set.
Ocean City, NJ has found a nice balance of activities for adults and children. All enjoy nighttime concerts by the Ocean City Pops, which can range from The Wizard of Oz to Melissa Manchester. Go to: Ocean City Pops
A good overview of Jersey shore activities can be found in the New Jersey Department of Tourism Visitor Guide
